This is an unstoppable comedy, directed by John Fortenberry and the uncredited Amy Heckerling, produced by Lorne Michaels and Amy Heckerling, both SNL producers in the same time, 80 minutes, 6.2 imdb rating out of ten. It was released in 1998, after nine sketches appearances in the SNL show, in March 1996, in May 1996 (when they have had as host Jim Carrey, who made a brilliant apparition in the Roxbury sketch), in September 1996 (hosted by Tom Hanks), in December 1996 (hosted by Martin Short), in February 1997 (hosted by Alec Baldwin), in April 1997 (hosted by Pamela Anderson, brilliant in the sketch as well), in September 1997 (hosted by Sylvester Stallone), in December 1997 (hosted by Helen Hunt, where Jack Nicholson makes an appearance as the therapist’s boyfriend, as they were promoting As Good as It Gets), and in Septem(hosted by Cameron Diaz). The movie is brilliant, is innocent and doesn’t have any trace of vulgarity, a thing I detest if it is used gratuitously. Near Will Ferrell and the prolific Chris Kattan, the movie starred Molly Shannon (as Emily Sanderson, the next door girl looking to marry Steve, the handsomest of the two brothers), Loni Anderson (as Barbara Butabi, the mother), Dan Hedaya (as Kamehl Butabi, the father and owner of a fake plants shop in LA), Lochlyn Munro (as Craig, the Butabi brothers fitness instructor and high school buddy), Richard Griego (as himself), Chazz Palminteri (as Benny Zadir, uncredited, how funny), Gigi Rice (as Vivica, a “working girl”), Elisa Donovan (as Cambi,another “working girl”), Colin Quinn (as Dooey, Zadir’s bodyguard), Jennifer Coolidge (as Hottie Police Officer), Meredith Scott Lynn (as Credit Vixen), Michael Clarke Duncan (as Roxbury bouncer), Eva Mendes (in a cameo, as a bridesmaid), and another SNL buddy, Mark McKinney (as Father Williams, in another cameo). I started to like Will Ferrell a few years ago, a little bit after his SNL experience, because I haven’t have the opportunity to watch SNL where I was then (all over the world, actually, not really interested in television). It became my favorite comedy of all times, and it’s a matter of preference, as subjective as it gets. One of their main purposes is to get a real business meeting where they will expose their brilliant ideas, to be permited the entrance to “The Roxbury”, the best night club in town, and to meet girls, not necessary in this order. Doug (Kattan) and Steve (Ferrell) Butabi, are two brothers dreaming of becoming night club masters (owners, managers, whatever). What’s all about in this movie? It is a line after line comedic screenplay, written by Steve Koren, Will Ferrell, and Chris Kattan. 
I have to confess that I’ve seen the movie before any other SNL sketch, and I liked it so much that I’ve started to research it and I have got a new taste for SNL.
